![]() You can't de-deinterlace it once it's deinterlaced. ![]() It's best to have the original source JUST in case the fix comes through. I like to think that Apple will release a update to fix this later on. ![]() Like I said, interlacing look somewhat bad on SOME part of animated shows (usually the 1st few minutes). The lines around the characters tend to be thicker and very rough looking. This option makes a HUGE difference on animated shows. But even then, I don't use the deinterlacing option. You can sometimes REALLY see the interlacing there. Cartoon shows such as Simpsons, now that's a different story. I really can't tell the interlacing on regular "live action" TV shows. Of course, this is only a matter for opinion. Just hit "Picture Setting" to see for yourself. You can view a preview on Handbrake setting. I notice that it makes the picture look "harsh" and pixelated. I would try to stay away from deinterlace. A 24 minute show (minus commercials) ends up being about 450MB which isn't too bad. You can't really see any compression unless you're actually LOOKING for it. It seems to do the job for me converting my DVD TV shows such as Cheers. I agree that you should leave the frame rate as "same as source." I use 2500 bitrate compression.
